I grew up in Tolland, CT, and have lived here for most of my life. For my undergraduate studies, I attended the University of Alabama, where I majored in biology and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree.

For the past year and a half, I worked as a dental assistant in South Windsor, CT, and was exposed to different urban underserved populations. My experience there made me want to become better involved in my local healthcare community. I witnessed firsthand patients being denied basic healthcare due to cost and/or access, and I knew there was room for change.

I sought involvement in UST/AS to better serve my community and learn how to become a better holistic provider. UST/AS provides opportunities for growth not only academically, but professionally, as well.
