UConn School of Pharmacy

I was born in Stuttgart, Germany but, when I was one year old, my family moved to San Jose, California where I was raised. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy studies with a minor in molecular and cell biology from UConn in 2021.
During my P2 year, I interned at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington and at CVS Pharmacy in Hebron. I have now been transferred to Backus Hospital in Norwich. I am also a dancer representative for HuskyTHON, a pharmacy school ambassador, and a PSG representative for ASCP. As of 2021, I am a co-chair for No Friend Left Naloxone, an organization whose goal is to educate the public on the importance of Naloxone in case of a drug overdose.
I grew up in San Jose, but attended school in Cupertino, California. This division growing up exposed me to two different kinds of urban populations: the population of San Jose is mostly underserved, while that of Cupertino has far more health opportunities. I witnessed the health of the latter population thrive while that of the former continued to fail. By joining the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AS) Program, I hope I can make an impact in those communities I am a member of. Few schools offer a professional track like this one, so I believe that by returning home with the knowledge I gain, I can pass my expertise on to other workers in my field, increasing the state of health care for underserved populations.
