Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant Program Class of 2019
I have lived most of my life in Southern New Hampshire with my family. I moved to Connecticut to attend Quinnipiac University where I graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Microbiology and Immunology.
My volunteer experiences in New Hampshire included working at a local soup kitchen, putting together holiday meals at my church, and performing free pediatric sports physicals. At Quinnipiac, I participated in Qthon to support the Children’s Miracle Network, raised money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and, through my chapter of the Chi Omega Fraternity, supported education for children in the Dominican Republic. I have worked as an administrative assistant and medical assistant at an orthopedic office in New Hampshire, and in Connecticut I have worked as a pharmacy technician in Waterbury, and as a patient care assistant in New Haven.
I became interested in the Urban Service Track after working in health care and witnessing how many people struggled to access the care they need. I believe that all people are entitled to quality health care regardless of their ability to pay for it. I hope that my time in the UST will prepare me as a Physician Assistant to meet the needs of the underserved populations in my community and to provide the best possible care to all.
