I am from Branford, Connecticut. I have worked for a CVS in East Haven, Connecticut, and also at a small independent pharmacy in New Haven, Connecticut. In my time volunteering for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and aiding in service trips through my church, I have seen a wide range of social injustice throughout Connecticut. I now want to go into primary care, and the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AS) Program is an amazing opportunity to work with populations that lack proper access to healthcare resources. I look forward to working with and among these communities to provide effective aid, aid which is culturally sensitive and mindful of social determinants of health.
