Irina Tavaratsyan
UConn School of Pharmacy
I am set to graduate in the spring of 2027 with a PharmD degree. I was born in Armenia and later moved to Colorado, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in biology. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a pharmacy technician throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that solidified my desire to pursue a career in pharmacy. Since then, I have gained diverse experience working in multiple pharmacies, and I currently work at Yale New Haven Hospital’s inpatient pharmacy.
I sought involvement in UST to gain exposure to the complex challenges faced by underserved populations. This opportunity will allow me to acquire the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to provide high-quality care and advocate effectively for these communities, ensuring that they receive the support and care they deserve.
