UConn School of Dental Medicine

I was raised in Salem, Connecticut, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Hartford. In the past, I have shadowed extensively at different dental clinics and practices in Connecticut and California, where I first began to work with urban underserved communities. In college, I also traveled to Florida to volunteer at Give Kids the World, a non-profit resort that provides vacations to children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses and their families.

I believe that being a part of the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AS) Program will give me the skills to better serve those in underserved communities, and in-depth education on how healthcare disparities have affected and continue to affect these communities. I know that the UST/AS program will make me a better, more holistic dental provider.
