UConn School of Dental Medicine

I was born in Saudi Arabia and spent much of my childhood and teenage years moving from one country to another.  I received a Bachelor of Science, (Molecular Cell Biology) from UCONN.

I was previously the prophylaxis officer of the Dental Student Scientific Association chapter at my school. My main role involved organizing campaigns to increase dental hygiene and health awareness among children.

I hope that Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars Program will enhance my knowledge of primary care and how best to provide health awareness to my community; this will help me give back to my home country, Egypt, when I visit there. The UST/AS Program will also broaden the scope of my knowledge by allowing me to work with students from other healthcare disciplines, granting me a holistic, interdisciplinary perspective on healthcare.
