As part of annual commencement exercises, the UConn Health Board of Directors Faculty Recognition Award is presented to a faculty member in recognition of his or her academic, administrative and/or clinical excellence.
Recipients have demonstrated outstanding, sustained accomplishment as a member of the UConn Health faculty in two or more of the following areas:
- Clinical Care
- Research
- Education
- Community Service
- Administrative Service to UConn Health
The Board of Directors established the award in 2003. Faculty of the School of Medicine or School of Dental Medicine who’ve been employed by UConn Health on a full-time basis for a minimum of three years are eligible.
Recipients receive a $10,000 prize and their name is included on a permanent plaque at UConn Health.
