Research

Research is the third of a three-pronged approach that firmly solidifies UConn Health as a medical institution that sets the standard.

Doctors, scientists, and researchers all work collaboratively to create new and innovative treatments for a variety of conditions and illnesses. We believe this is the best practice, to have our physicians on the forefront using their clinical experience to advance their specialty and create the medicine of tomorrow.

In turn, these advancements are then made available to our patients, ensuring that they will receive the most advanced treatment options available anywhere today.

VISION Lab (Vascular Innovation, Science, and Integrated Outcomes Network)

The VISION Lab (Vascular Innovation, Science, and Integrated Outcomes Network) is the research and education center of UConn Health’s Department of Vascular Surgery. By combining clinical trials, outcomes research, noninvasive and imaging science, laboratory science, and educational scholarship, the VISION Lab develops evidence that shapes practice and trains the next generation of vascular surgeons. Our work establishes UConn Health’s vascular surgery program as a leader, enabling us to improve patients' lives with vascular disease by turning ideas into evidence and evidence into better outcomes.
