Morica Hutchison

Clinical Research Associate


Dr. Morica Hutchison is a Clinical Research Associate II. She earned her doctorate in Human Development and Family Sciences from UConn and is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Hutchison comes to CPES with a strong background in developing community-based partnerships to support mental health and substance use disorder treatment for youth populations and has also been working to examine suicidal behaviors. Dr. Hutchison completed her NIH T32 post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in their Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide. Currently, Dr. Hutchison works closely with CPES director, Dr. Megan O’Grady, on numerous NIH funded substance use prevention projects based in the state of New York. Dr. Hutchison’s research interests focus on understanding barriers and facilitators to treatment engagement and sustainment among individuals with substance use and mental health disorders, with a particular focus on implementation strategies.
