Yang Liu
Graduate Assistant
Yang Liu is a graduate assistant at the DMHAS Center for Prevention Evaluation and Statistics (CPES). He is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine who specializes in mental health. Prior to his doctoral studies, Yang earned his master’s in public health from New York University. At CPES, Yang assists in the development of epidemiological profiles on substance use across the state. Yang’s research has focused on substance use disorder in older adults and healthcare coverage in relation to mental health outcomes. Yang hopes to conduct more research to address the mental health disparities in vulnerable populations.
