UConn Health has contracted with Green Security Services for the credentialing of “Level 3” clinical vendor representatives who need access to sterile procedure areas at UConn Health – specifically, OR Surgery, Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, Interventional Radiology, or the UConn Health Surgery Center.

ALL clinical vendor representatives who need access to any UConn Health sterile procedure area must be registered with and obtain a badge from Green Security by 9/29/2023.

Green Security will provide the background screening and credentialing service for all of these vendor representatives. Green Security will also provide the approved vendor representatives with smart phone badges and hard badges that can be tracked through Green Security’s technology utilizing the QR scanning and tracking service. Appointments for vendor representative access to UConn Health’s sterile procedure areas will also be managed through Green Security’s system.

Please note: Company registrations are required prior to submitting an individual registration. Contact Green Security Customer Service at 866-750-3373 for assistance if your company is not already registered with Green Security. Companies can also request to have company manager accounts established to manage all their vendors and contractors in the Green Security web portal.

A background screening will begin once the corresponding credential has been filled out and sent for processing. We encourage you to allow 5-7 days to complete your Green Security registration, prior to visiting  UConn Health. This will allow ample time for you to be cleared and in receipt of your required badge. You will also be required to schedule an appointment prior to your visit. As a reminder, all vendor credentials and facility entry rules are set by UConn Health, and are a requirement for being an approved UConn Health “Level 3” clinical vendor representative.

Upon arriving at UConn Health, you will check-in utilizing the Green Security mobile app. Instructions on how to configure your phone for mobile check-in are attached. As of 9/29/2023, you MUST have an approved Green Security badge and an appointment in order to be granted access to any UConn Health sterile procedure area.
