Summary of Results
- Youth from households earning less than $35,000 per year reported the highest percentage of obesity (24.8%) in 2018.
- Those with a household income of $75,000 or more per year reported the lowest percentage of obesity (15.2%) in 2018.
- The percentage of obese youth increased from the SIM pre-implementation years (2014/2015) to the first CT SIM implementation year (2016) for those in the less than $35,000 per year (5.8% increase) and $75,000 or more per year (1.5% increase) income brackets.
- There were too few respondents in the $35,000 to $74,999 income category to reliably report the findings.
