About the Educator
Robert Kanehl, the Community Education Specialist at the Connecticut Poison Control Center, will do presentations and trainings for audiences, coordinate health fairs in the community, and interact with the media. In a typical presentation, find out how to use our free services, when to call, and what information you will need to provide to the health care professionals answering your call. Learn what common household poisons are dangerous to families, how to poison proof your home, and first aid for poisonings.
Presentations/lesson plans can be tailored to individual audiences and cover specialized topics, including but not limited to the following:
