Why Partner with HDI?

Champion Justice

We advocate for policies and practices that advance health equity and further critical consciousness building for all learners. We support actions to address health disparities ensuring justice, fairness, and equal opportunity in health outcomes and beyond is at the forefront of policy decisions.

Dismantle Racism

We work to identify, address, and eliminate systemic racism in healthcare. We seek to amplify the voices of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) communities that are rarely represented in policy decisions to catalyze systems change at the organizational, municipal, and state levels to address racism through research, education, and action.

Advance Health Equity

Our mission it to advance systemic change focusing on the root causes of health inequities. We collaborate to reduce health disparities bringing together different perspectives to look at the origins and potential solutions to health disparities with a focus on creating pathways to health equity for all communities.

Serve the Community

We partner with agencies, coalitions, resident groups and researchers to work hand-in-hand to design community-responsive research and action projects. Through community-based participatory research (CBPR) and youth-led participatory action research (YPAR), we actively engage with local communities to meet their unique needs, fostering partnerships to co-create meaningful change to communities across the state.

Educate for Tomorrow

We provide instructor-led training and workforce development initiatives focused on advancing health equity. Through curriculum design, research internships and fellowship programs, we apply a learner-centered approach to empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals in health equity.
