Victoria Fal
School of Pharmacy
I was born in New London, Connecticut and raised in Waterford, Connecticut. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2022 and am currently working toward my Pharm.D for 2024.
During my time at UConn, I have immersed myself in multiple professional and volunteer opportunities that have increased my passion for healthcare. I currently work as a pharmacy intern at Walgreens Pharmacy in New London, Connecticut where I interact with a unique urban population and serve my community. In addition, I work at Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut as a medication reconciliation technician. The hospital setting has allowed me to participate in interprofessional care and reduce medication errors through special attention to detail. Through UConn School of Pharmacy, I serve on the WHFH Clinic Board, where I provide educational health materials to the geriatric population of West Hartford.
I chose to pursue the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AS) Program because I believe it will provide me with a plethora of knowledge, skills, and experiences with urban underserved populations, which I will be able to carry into my future career as a pharmacist. Through my current work experiences, I have learned about the importance of multidisciplinary care, and so was drawn program’s emphasis on interprofessional work. I look forward to incorporating these values throughout the rest of my academic and professional career as an Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholar.
