UConn School of Medicine, 2021

I was born in Bangladesh and was raised in New Milford, CT. I graduated from University of Connecticut in 2016 with Honors in Biomedical Engineering.

I have experience tutoring middle school children and caring for children and adults at the physician’s office. I was especially able to connect with the children at the pediatric center through humor and effective communication with them and their parents. Especially since then, interpersonal communication and involvement have been central components of my conception of medical practice.

I sought involvement with the Urban Service Track to gain more experience, training, and knowledge pertinent to primary care, and to learn about and take part in solving the challenges unique to practicing medicine in an urban setting. I look forward to implementing, through the UST’s community-based and hands-on programming, my belief in the importance of community engagement.
