UConn School of Nursing

I was born and raised in Connecticut and am currently pursuing my bachelor of science degree in nursing at the University of Connecticut. I’m passionate about promoting equity in healthcare and creating spaces that empower underrepresented communities to thrive.

I founded the Black Student Nurses Union (BSNU) at UConn to build a supportive community for Black nursing students and help them grow, both academically and professionally. I’m also an active member of the BSOUL (Black Sisters Optimizing Unity & Leadership) Learning Community and the Red Cross Club. Outside of UConn, I serve as a board member for Gentle Love Connections, a nonprofit organization based in Manchester, CT, where I help support community outreach and youth empowerment initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.

I joined the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars Program to deepen my understanding of  community and public health while gaining hands-on experience serving underserved populations. My goal as a future nurse is to bridge gaps in healthcare access and to advocate for health promotion and disease prevention. I want to make a lasting impact by ensuring that every person, regardless of background, has the knowledge, access, and care they need to live a healthy life. Urban Service Track gives me the opportunity to grow as both a nurse and an advocate for change.
