Quinnipiac Physician Assistant Program, Class of 2017

Originally, I am from a small town in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. I have been living in Connecticut for the past 4 years while attending Quinnipiac University as an undergraduate student in the Entry Level Masters Physician Assistant (ELMPA) program. Upon graduation, I received a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. During my four years an and undergraduate, I was actively involved in many community service organizations such as Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities through the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. As a first year physician assistant student, I want to take advantage of the ample patient care and interprofessional opportunities provided by the UST organization. Working with underserved populations in the local Connecticut region is a truly necessary and unique way to give back to the community. The opportunity to provide patient-centered health care to individuals who truly need it as well as working with a diverse population of healthcare professionals is essential for developing my own professional and personal skills as future health care professional.
