Daniel Kotait

UConn School of Dental Medicine

I was born at Hartford Hospital and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut.

I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. While there I  participated and held a leadership position for HuskyTHON (duration: 2 years), I was a member of the Public Health Learning community (duration: 2 years) and worked in the UConn Bursar’s Office in the Customer Service Center (duration 4 years).

I sought involvement in UST/AS because I wanted to get involved in clinical based programs promoted through the university. After learning about the UST/AS mission statement, I decided to reach out and ask for the opportunity to apply. I expect my experiences with UST/AS to enable me to make a difference through developing me as a better clinician. I did not take a gap year between undergrad schooling and my current dental school education. Because of this I have always lacking in terms of patient interaction. I hope that, if given the opportunity, that my time at UST/AS will make me a better clinician.
