UConn School of Pharmacy

I was born in Connecticut and grew up in Monroe, CT. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2024 with my B.S. in pharmacy studies and in the spring of 2026 with my Pharm.D.

Over this past summer, I had the opportunity to volunteer on a medical brigade in Athens, Greece. I got to work in a polyclinic that provides free access to a wide range of care (i.e. gynecology, ophthalmology, and pediatrics) for refugees, asylum seekers, as well as other vulnerable populations. During my time there, I was able to engage with some of the healthcare professionals on important topics relating to the challenges faced within our health systems today. This experience has continued to fuel my passion for helping underserved communities. As future healthcare professionals, understanding that there are gaps in care can help us advocate for the patients that we serve and make impacts within these communities in order to drive better health outcomes for all.

I joined UST/AS to become a better advocate, not only for my profession, but also for the future patients that I will serve. I am excited to have been selected and hope to continue the impressive legacy that previous UST/AHEC Scholars have created. I am excited for the opportunities to work interprofessionally with other disciplines. I hope to learn from them, so that I can understand how we all can collaborate to provide optimal care within underserved communities. I believe my time during the UST/AS program will provide me with the confidence and necessary tool kit to ensure the best care for the patients and communities I serve
