Caroline Mroz
Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant Class of 2019
I am a Maine native and have a Bachelors of Science from Wagner College.
I was trained as a surgical technologist at New York University Langone Hospital, and have also worked for over three years in pediatric ophthalmology. I have volunteered in each of the communities I have been a part of: I’ve spent time with the Eastern Maine AIDS Network, PICA Maine, and King’s County Hospital in New York.
As a future Physician Assistant, my goal is to develop the skills and experience to help a wide range of patients from a number of particular communities. The Urban Service Track provides education, training, and mentorship which will enable me to use my relevant medical skills to improve the health of individuals in medically underserved areas. I believe that medical providers have an obligation to maintain connections with and be a part of their community; I hope that my career as a Physician Assistant will answer the needs for primary and preventative care in whichever community I come to serve.
