Caitlin Lawrence

UConn School of Medicine

I was born and raised in Killingworth, Connecticut. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

I volunteered as an EMT in Killingworth, Connecticut during the pandemic and in school breaks since the spring of 2020 . In the year before medical school, I lived in a rural town in Franche-Comte, France and worked as an English teaching assistant in a high school.

I want to be a part of a generation of doctors that will challenge and reform the inequitable healthcare system we have created in this country. I am fueled by the unwavering belief that we all deserve accessible, high-quality care, and each provider should aspire to deliver this care in any way possible. I hope participating in the urban service track can provide me with the cultural awareness and tools to effectively advocate for patients and communities who are marginalized.
