UConn School of Nursing Class of 2014

I was born and raised in Fuzhou, China until immigrating to Connecticut at 12 years old. During my high school years, I volunteered at my local nursing and rehabilitation center. Once in college, I joined the Student Nurses Association for various volunteering experiences such as Beauty Days at the Mansfield Nursing Home and a medical disposal program at the UCONN Health Center. As a member of School of Nursing’s MASCC, I helped with the promotion of the nursing profession at Mohegan Elementary School. I sought involvement in the UST because the program will provide me with the opportunity to extend my help and skills to those in need. As a nursing student, I want to interact with people, so they can experience the kindness and sincerity that my profession has to offer them. Nursing is made to heal and help patients, so I hope my time with UST will offer me memories of making a difference to the community, the public, and my own soul.
