School of Medicine

I was born in Glens Falls, New York and was raised in the nearby town of Argyle, New York. I am the first in my family to attend college and pursue a doctorate. I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2021 from Rochester Institute of Technology where I studied Biomedical Sciences and Biology. During my time in undergrad, I worked as an Emergency Department Medical Scribe and a Pharmacy Technician. I also volunteered at Episcopal Senior Life Communities, Special Olympics, and participated in Adopt-a-Family.

I sought involvement in the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AHEC) Program to gain valuable experiences working with underserved communities and learn how cultural and linguistic sensitivity in healthcare providers can improve the care of patients. I believe this experience will be extremely valuable because I was raised in a small, insular, rural community. The UST/AS Program will also provide a unique opportunity to learn about the extensive gaps in health care by working directly with patients from underserved communities. This will enable me to better understand many important aspects of health care so that I can positively influence the patients and communities I will connect with as a physician-scientist.
