UConn School of Nursing
I’m a third-year nursing student at the University of Connecticut, and plan to graduate in 2027 with my bachelor of science in nursing. I was born and raised in Stratford, CT, and graduated from Stratford High School in 2023.
Volunteering at the Fairhaven Youth Program gave me the ability to support children and families in the community, and that experience really shaped my commitment to helping others. I also work as a student nurse technician at St. Vincent’s Medical Center on the cardiovascular floor, where I’m getting hands-on experience and learning the skills I’ll need to provide compassionate, quality care.
I sought involvement in UST/AS to connect with people who share my passion for health care, and to be able to participate in opportunities that will prepare me to make a difference. I hope to use what I learn through this experience to grow as an aspiring public health nurse, advocate for underserved communities, and support more equitable health care.
