Alice Dang

UConn School of Pharmacy

My name is Alice Dang, and I’m a member of the class of 2028 at the University of  Connecticut School of Pharmacy. I was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, the biggest city  in Vietnam. Even though I lived in an urban area, I often volunteered to go to rural areas with a  healthcare professional team to provide free checkups. After those volunteering trips, I got  inspired to work in an interprofessional team.

In UST, I’m looking forward to working with the students from other areas. I expect my interdisciplinary teamwork skills to improve while working with other healthcare professionals, and to be able to use that in the future. I also want to be able to use the knowledge I’m going to gain in UST.

A quote that inspired me a lot was from one of my favorite esports players: “The challenge is only for the main character.” It reminds me that all the challenges I’m facing right now will make me a better version of myself.
