UConn School of Medicine

I was born in Norwalk, CT, and for the first half of my childhood, I grew up in upstate New York. Later, I moved to Farmington, CT, the home of UConn Health! I graduated with my bachelor of science degree in pathobiology, and a minor in molecular and cell biology, from the University of Connecticut in the spring of 2025.

Previously, I have shadowed physicians at a pediatric clinic in the North End of Hartford. Furthermore, I have served as a volunteer at Athena Home Health and Hospice, and as a volunteer for the Keney Park Sustainability Project of Hartford. During my undergraduate studies, I was a member of UConn Honors Across State Borders, an alternative break service trip organization that places volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and many local organizations across various urban or rural cities and towns.

In my career path to becoming a physician, it is of utmost importance that I obtain a thorough understanding of the underserved in order to support my future patients in gaining equitable access to resources that meet their unique healthcare needs, and to ensure that they are not subject to present healthcare disparities. I believe that the UST/AHEC Scholars Program will thoroughly equip me with the knowledge and experience necessary to serve vulnerable populations in a way that is sensitive, culturally competent, and empowering.
