The University of Connecticut Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine underwent a Student Records conversion on January 12, 2019. Please note the following information:
- The format of our academic transcripts has changed and coursework appears by semester.
- The Medical and Dental curriculums contain multiple longitudinal courses which span two or more academic terms.
- All courses and grades are present on the transcript however the formatting by term may not align directly with course dates.
- Longitudinal courses may appear with placeholder grades in the first term of a course; these may be represented by:
- An asterisk *, or may include grades of “IP” (In Progress), “NR” (Not Recorded), “R” (Registered Not Graded), or “Y” (Yearlong).
- Courses in the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine were non-credit bearing prior to:
- Fall of 2018 for the Medical curriculum and the combined courses in the Medical and Dental curriculums
- Spring 2019 for the Dental curriculum
- In the School of Medicine Stage 2 Curriculum, there are two “umbrella” clerkship courses: IMED-8227: Medicine: Ambulatory & Inpatient, and PEDS-8232: Pediatrics: Ambulatory & Inpatient. The Medicine components are: IMED 8228 Ambulatory Medicine and IMED 8229 Inpatient Medicine. The Pediatric clerkship components are: PEDS 8233 Ambulatory Pediatrics, and PEDS 8234 Inpatient Pediatrics. The grades on these component clerkships are graded only on clinical performance. Possible final grades for the component clerkships are P, CP, F, or FP. The grade for the combined departmental clerkship reflects inclusion of any assignments and exams and designates if the student was awarded honors for the clerkship. Possible final grades for the combined department clerkship are P, CP, F, FP, or H.
