Is a faculty or academic appointment the same as having privileges at UConn John Dempsey Hospital?
No. A faculty or academic appointment is a teaching-related appointment in the UConn School of Medicine or UConn School of Dental Medicine. It does not mean that you are, or were, a member of the UConn John Dempsey Hospital Medical Staff.
How can I obtain emergency privileges?
Emergency privileges are available only to current members of the Medical Staff.
How long does it take to get privileges?
Each applicant's circumstances are different and, therefore, it is difficult to give an exact timeframe on how long it may take to get privileges. To help facilitate the process, it is important that you submit a complete application along with all of the required documentation.
