My research project is focused on asymmetric cell division in Drosophila male germline stem cells. When stem cells divide, they generate one stem cell and one differentiating daughter cell. I am investigating stem cell clone dynamics using a combination of live imaging and mathematical modeling to understand how the asymmetric division contributes to tissue homeostasis.
