In partnership with the School of Dental Medicine and the School of Medicine, the Office of Student Financial Aid Services is pleased to announce the availability of two $1,000 scholarships each semester (fall and spring). One scholarship will be awarded to a dental student and one to a medical student who participate in the Financial Wellness Program.
Key details:
- Eligibility: Students must have loan debt for the current academic year (University Loan, Primary Care Loan, Federal Direct Loans, or Private Loans).
- Selection: One dental and one medical student will be randomly selected. Students may only receive this scholarship once per academic year.
How to Participate:
The Financial Wellness Program consists of a series of optional challenges, such as:
- Completing assigned AAMC courses
- Attending AAMC webinars and seminars
- Submitting budget paperwork
Each completed challenge earns you one entry into the scholarship drawing. The more challenges you complete, the more chances you have to win.
Challenge Tiers:
- Fall: Must complete at least two assigned AAMC courses to qualify for bonus entries. Additional AAMC coursework and webinars earn more entries.
- Spring: Must complete either (1) one assigned AAMC course and attend the AAMC loan repayment seminar, or (2) two assigned AAMC courses to qualify for bonus entries. Additional coursework and webinars also count.
Bonus Entries:
- Complete 3 bonus challenges → +1 extra entry
- Complete 6 bonus challenges → +2 extra entries
- Complete all 9 bonus challenges → +4 extra entries
