We are seeking a motivated, trainable individual who is interested in applying cell biology, in vitro and animal model approaches to understand fundamental regulatory mechanisms in hematopoiesis. The successful applicant will obtain training in cell culture, imaging, flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting, colony forming unit assays, histology, and complete blood cell counts, as well as a range of molecular biology techniques. The candidate will be expected to have a B.A./B.S. in the field of biological sciences, and have some experience in cellular and molecular hematology, biochemistry, or molecular biology. Candidates should be motivated, organized, responsible communicative, and enthusiastic. Interested applicants should send a brief statement of interest, your work experience and a resume with contact information for three references to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Vanessa Scanlon at scanlon@uchc.edu.
