Dr. Sacco's current research aims to improve suicide risk prediction using transfer-learning techniques, clinical decision-making pipelines, and feature and outcome engineering. Over the last decade, Shane has been author and statistician on multiple grants and studies investigating mental and physical health including heart failure, dietary habits and obesity, meaning in life, veteran health, and other dimensions of psychosocial well-being. He has also focused on methodological advancements in modelling non-linear interactions.
