Jun Jin's has several research interests including transfer learning, integrative statistical learning, public health and healthcare analytics, machine learning, and big data inference. Jun's work is centered around the utilization and analysis of complex data sets from various sources to improve understanding and predictive capabilities in fields such as EHR data analysis and 3D printing materials. Jun's excellence in research and academics has been recognized with awards such as the Mark of Excellence Award (Ph.D. qualifying exam), Best Performance in Inference Award from the Department of Statistics, University of Connecticut, and the Honorable Mention Award in the section of Risk Analysis of the ASA Student Paper Competition.
