For each of the five years in this analysis, in the city of East Hartford, the proportion of all resident births to teen mothers exceeded the statewide average. From 2009 through 2013, a greater proportion of births occurred to teen mothers in East Hartford compared to the proportion of births to teen mothers throughout Connecticut. Compared to the rest of the state, East Hartford is a community in need of teen pregnancy prevention services.

Meriden

During the period 2009 through 2013, the city of Meriden experienced a greater proportion of births to teen mothers than the state overall. For each of these five years, Meriden’s proportion of teens having children exceeded the statewide average. Meriden is clearly a community in need of teen pregnancy prevention services.

New Britain

Norwich

Torrington
