Psychological Wellness

For many, medical school can be a stressful time, and one’s mental well being can easily get put on the back burner. Therefore, the Wellness Committee is dedicated to promoting mental health and support among students. From resources such as the “snack cart” during exam time to medical families where students can get advice and support, we hope to lessen the stress of studying and make medical school more manageable. Furthermore, for those who prefer to reach out and talk one-on-one, the Wellness Committee has assembled a wide range of options including students who have been trained in basic counseling as well as a list of available mental health professionals in the area. Medical school can be extremely challenging and exhausting at times, so it is incredibly important that students take the time to care for their psychological well being. We at the Wellness Committee are committed to doing the best we can to help this process.
