Erin manages everyday needs of the laboratory and maintains several projects within the lab. She is a graduate from Central Connecticut State University, where she was on the dean\u2019s-advisory committee, student-faculty committee, and was president of the biology club. In each of these organizations, Erin's goal was to support and represent student research. As an alumni, she is part of the student success committee which consists of alumni who were recognized by the university as students who faced unique challenges during their undergraduate career, yet still managed to graduate and become productive and successful members within an active scientific community. She is interested in the sheer variety and complexity of life forms in all their presentations in nature. In the Scanlon Lab, Caitlyn's goal is to experience research close up, perform her own experiments, coordinate planning and understanding cost and resource input to generate data, communicate research outcomes, and more.
