Suib of the University of Connecticut has been elected as a <a href=\"https:\/\/academyofinventors.org\/about-the-nai-fellows-program\/\">National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Fellow<\/a>. The NAI Fellows Selection Committee chose Dr. Suib because he has \u201cdemonstrated a highly prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society.\u201d\u00a0Election to NAI Fellow status is the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs CEO of the Connecticut Institute for Clinical and Translational Science and President of the UConn Chapter of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), I am thrilled that Dr. Suib has been elected as an NAI fellow,&#8221; said Dr. Cato T. Laurencin. &#8220;His commitment to innovation and inventorship is inspiring and I congratulate him on this great achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Suib has been invited to attend the Fellows Induction Ceremony on April 5, 2018 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. Andrew H.
