By promoting and tracking daily physical activities, the information learned in our study can help other African and Hispanic Americans who have diabetes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diabetes Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 In Connecticut about 8.9% of adults have been diagnosed with diabetes and diabetes was the 8th leading cause of death in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Some people of color, specifically those who are African\/Black or Hispanic\/Latino, are much more likely that White adults to have diabetes and be hospitalized for diabetes-related complications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Can Participate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To participate in this study you must:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Have Type 2 diabetes;<br \/>\n\u2022 Be age 18 or over;<br \/>\n\u2022 Be African\/Black or Hispanic\/Latino American; and<br \/>\n\u2022 Have access to the internet.<br \/>\n.<br \/>\n<strong>What You Can Expect<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your participation in this 12-week study is completely voluntary and you will be reimbursed for your time.
