Family Adversity and Resilience Research Program<\/p>\n
Approximately 250 mothers (18 years and older) and their 4- to 7-year-old children participated in the ARCS study to help us learn about how young children cope with difficult or stressful experiences.\u00a0 Many of these families returned to our lab for a second visit approximately one year later. Thank you to all of our ARCS families!<\/p>\n
Visits to our kid-friendly lab included parent-child activities and computer tasks guided by our trained research assistants. Our hope is to pinpoint social and biological factors that shape children’s development and behavior, using this information to grow systems that will support children and promote their well-being.<\/p>\n\t
