Current or rising third-year students with questions about the Psychiatry Clerkship should contact Dr. Mario Fahed, third-year Psychiatry Clerkship director, or the clerkship program coordinator, Ms. Tracy Drzyzga at <a href=\"tel:860-679-8917\">860-679-8917<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tResidency and Fellowships\n\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/graduate-medical-education\/psychiatry-residency-program\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPsychiatry Residency\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/graduate-medical-education\/child-and-adolescent-psychiatry-fellowship\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChild and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/graduate-medical-education\/geriatric-psychiatry-fellowship\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGeriatric Psychiatry Fellowship\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\tGrand Rounds\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Psychiatry Grand Rounds lectures are presented on Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon during the academic year (September through June). The schedule posted lists dates, speakers, and the general topics. Titles and learning objectives for each lecture will be available approximately one week beforehand.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/psychiatry\/education-and-training\/grand-rounds\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGrand Rounds Schedule\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>CME credit is only available to UConn Health or UConn Health-affiliated faculty and staff who meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Attend in-person or view the webcast live.<\/li>\n<li>Complete an electronic evaluation distributed by the psychiatry grand rounds activity administrator (sent by email) within 5 business days of receipt.<\/li>\n<li>If you do not receive an evaluation assignment within 5 business days of the presentation, contact <a href=\"mailto:sfreeman@uchc.edu\">sfreeman@uchc.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t<p><em>Many but not all Grand Rounds lectures are <a href=\"https:\/\/uconnhealth.mediasite.com\/Mediasite\/Channel\/psychiatry_grand_rounds\">viewable as a webcast<\/a>. Note: off-line viewing of the webcast does not provide CME credit.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tPsychosocial Occupational Therapy Affiliations\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Psychosocial Level II Occupational Therapy (OT) students complete a 12 week affiliation usually during the summer. Students attend the\u00a0inpatient <a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/psychiatry\/areas-of-care\/adult\/adult-general-psychiatric-unit\/\">Adult General Psychiatry Unit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, instructions and forms, visit the Human Resources <a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/human-resources\/services\/organization-and-staff-development\/unpaid-experiences\/hosting-an-unpaid-experience\/\">Hosting a Non-Paid Student Educational Experience<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>All schools require annual contracts and need to be AOTA accredited.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tSocial Work Affiliations\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Social Work students complete a year-long affiliation at UConn Health. Students can be placed on the inpatient general psychiatry unit, the Intensive Outpatient Programs, the Emergency Department or the Geriatric Psychiatry Program, or a rotation through several of these services. Additional learning opportunities through Grand Rounds and Schwartz Rounds are also available to students during their affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>All schools require annual contracts and need to be CSWE accredited.
