Robin Zingales-Browne, M.S.N., A.P.R.N.
Adult Nurse Practitioner
Mrs. Zingales-Browne joined the Huntington’s Disease Program in August, 2011. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of New Hampshire and her master's degree in nursing from Boston University. Mrs. Zingales-Browne has been in the nursing field for over 25 years. She spent 18 years at Yale-New Haven Hospital and more recently, five years at long term care and assisted living facilities.
As a nurse practitioner with the Huntington’s Disease Program, Mrs. Zingales-Browne has been providing direct patient care and ongoing support to family members. She is also the co-facilitator of the monthly caregiver’s support group.
Mrs. Zingales-Browne has initiated a unique on-site evaluation program for existing UConn Health HD Program patients who have transitioned into long term care facilities. She visits nursing home facilities and collaborates with the nursing home staff in their own environment. Mrs. Zingales-Browne provides consulting services via telephone for all Connecticut based nursing homes and community resources.
Mrs. Zingales-Browne has been a member of the Nursing Professional Practice Council at UConn Health since December, 2011. The mission of this group is to develop strategies to enhance patient care through Shared Governance. Mrs. Zingales-Browne is a Certified Motor Rater for the Unified Huntington’s Disease Rating Scale (UHDRS), an assessment tool used globally for Huntington’s Disease evaluations. She is also a member of the Huntington’s Study Group and the European Huntington’s Disease Network.
