Percentage of beneficiaries who initiated treatment through an inpatient AOD admission, outpatient visit, intensive outpatient encounter or partial hospitalization, telehealth, or medication treatment within 14 days of the diagnosis.<\/li>\n\n\t<li><i>Engagement of AOD Treatment<\/i>. Percentage of beneficiaries who initiated treatment and who had two or more additional AOD services or medication treatment within 34 days of the initiation visit.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<p>In 2015, the year prior to the CT SIM implementation, 40.8% of all beneficiaries initiated AOD treatment within 14 days of diagnosis and 15.7% of beneficiaries who initiated treatment had two or more additional AOD services within 34 days of the initiation visit.<\/p>\n<p>After the CT SIM implementation in 2016, males were more likely to have a follow-up visit than females. In 2017, the most recent year data are available, 41.2% of males with private insurance had a follow-up visit within 14 days, and 17.1% had a follow-up visit within 34 days.
