UConn Health requires all employees, students, vendors and contractors to wear a UConn Health identification badge visibly whenever entering a UConn Health facility and throughout your stay. This requirement is in place to enhance your personal safety. The identification badge also allows access to restricted areas of UConn Health.
UConn Health identification badges are issued by the Police Department at the Police Administration Office (Room LG041) after you successfully pass a background check. Identification badges are issued Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6 to 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. For groups of 10 or more, please call 860.679.2511 for an appointment on days identification badges are issued.
A $15 fee is charged for the replacement of lost, stolen or damaged identification badges. The fee is payable by cash, check or credit card. Checks can be made payable to UConn Health Police Administration. We accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover as payment options. Expired identification badges and identification badges which no longer grant access due to normal wear will be replaced free of charge.
