The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at UConn Health is customized to the individual resident each year, based on goals, interests, experiences, and postgraduate pursuits.<\/p>\n

Residents are required to complete longitudinal experiences in:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Anticoagulation Service<\/li>\n
  • Neurology<\/li>\n
  • Infectious Diseases\/HIV<\/li>\n
  • Medication Therapy Management<\/li>\n
  • Population Health<\/li>\n
  • Specialty Pharmacy<\/li>\n
  • Practice Management<\/li>\n
  • Clinical Service Project<\/li>\n
  • Leadership\/Personal Professional Development (PPD)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Teaching and Education<\/li>\n
  • Research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    *All required rotations are longitudinal with the exception of Orientation.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Residents will have the option of the following elective experiences to complete as blocks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Academia<\/li>\n
    • Ambulatory Oncology<\/li>\n
    • Pain\/Palliative Care<\/li>\n
    • Inpatient Operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Residents will also have additional longitudinal experiences, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • IRB-approved research project to be presented at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and\/or an additional major\/mid-major conference<\/li>\n
      • Clinical service project and cumulative business plan<\/li>\n
      • Leadership and PPD work\/life balance and leadership development series<\/li>\n
      • UConn School of Pharmacy Teaching Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
