The Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at UConn Health has been recognized as a Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Gold Performance Achievement Award Hospital. The award signifies that UConn Health has achieved 85 percent or higher composite adherence to all Mission: Lifeline® STEMI Receiving Center Performance Achievement indicators for consecutive 24-month intervals, and 75 percent or higher compliance on all Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center quality measures to improve the quality of care for STEMI patients.

The Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at UConn Health received the Get With The Guidelines®–Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. The recognition signifies that UConn Health has reached an aggressive goal of treating heart failure patients with 85 percent compliance for at least 24 months to core standard levels of care as outlined by the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology secondary prevention guidelines for heart failure patients.
