Allyson Powell, LCSW<\/h3>\n

Program Manager<\/em><\/p>\n

Allyson joined UConn Health in 2007 as the Program Manager of the Adoption Assistance Program. Her role expanded in 2014 to include EAP counseling and in 2019, Allyson assumed oversight of the EAP. In addition to direct service work, Allyson has over twenty years of program management experience. Her areas of clinical expertise include work with adoptive and guardianship families, grief and loss, and navigating workplace stress.<\/p>\n

David Francis, LPC, LADC, CEAP<\/h3>\n

Counselor<\/em><\/p>\n

David started at the UConn Health EAP in 2006. He has 18 years of experience in the EAP field. He has an extensive background in health care management and is the former director of the Alliance EAP Program. Areas of clinical expertise include substance use disorders, anxiety and adolescent\/family therapy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Melissa Ortiz, LPC<\/h3>\n

Counselor<\/em><\/p>\n

Melissa is a seasoned behavioral health professional with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience. She brings expertise in employee assistance counseling, crisis management, and workplace consultation. Melissa is also an experienced trainer and facilitator, leading workshops on emotional intelligence, burnout, conflict resolution, and leadership development. Her clinical specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and adjustment issues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Rich Agostinho, LCSW<\/h3>\n

Rich joined the UConn Health EAP team in 2022 in a part-time role. He is a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. He has extensive experience in child welfare, in both clinical and program management roles.
