Dr. Verma is collaborating with Dr. Liang on a project aimed at developing new stroke therapies using purinergic receptor P2X4 inhibitors. The NIH has awarded a $2 million STTR Phase 2 grant to support their lead molecule, MRS4719, in efficacy and safety studies before moving to clinical trials.
