Sarah presented her research conducted in the Mohan lab that identifies a novel target for age-related macular degeneration, which is a leading cause of global blindness. Sarah is also the recipient of the <em>Biomedical Science Service Award in Mentorship<\/em> for her active participation in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
